Purpose of Role
To deliver engaging and age-appropriate ICT lessons to primary students, developing their digital literacy, computational thinking, and responsible use of technology in line with curriculum standards.

CSA - Primary ICT Teacher
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver ICT lessons for Primary grades aligned with curriculum guidelines
- Teach basic computer skills, digital tools, and age-appropriate coding concepts
- Introduce students to applications such as word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, and educational software
- Promote safe, ethical, and responsible use of technology
Curriculum & Assessment
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and digital resources
- Assess and record student progress using appropriate assessment methods
- Support integration of ICT into other subjects (cross-curricular learning)
Classroom & Lab Management
- Maintain discipline and ensure student safety in the computer lab
- Ensure proper use and care of ICT equipment
- Report technical issues and coordinate with IT support when required
Student Engagement & Development
- Encourage creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving through technology
- Support students with varying learning abilities
- Motivate students to participate in ICT-based activities and projects
Professional Responsibilities
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
- Stay updated with emerging educational technologies and teaching practices
- Follow school policies, child safeguarding, and data protection guidelines
